Refunds & AppSumo purchases — which terms apply

Two purchase routes, two rulebooks — here's which is which, plainly:

• Bought on this site (subscription, credit pack or license key): our terms of service §4 applies — "Digital delivery — your license key is emailed to the address that paid. Once a key is activated, the sale is final and non-refundable, except where required by law. If a key has not been activated and isn't working, contact [email protected] — we'll fix it or refund it. A chargeback on an activated license results in immediate revocation."
• Bought through AppSumo: AppSumo's standard terms apply to your purchase, including its 60-day money-back guarantee. Refunds are processed by AppSumo on their side. When AppSumo notifies us of a refund, the associated code's license is revoked; for a stacked account the tier steps down by that code's contribution and your other codes stay honored. Your data is retained read-only for 90 days (see Exports & your library).
